Summary: "wasn't what I expected"
Fine book for dicovering South Dakota- perhaps for a book report- very limited for travel info which is why I purchased it it also had no photos.

Summary: "Great travel guide!"
During my on-going plan to visit and thoroughly adventure through all 50 states, (so far I'm up to 10!) I've read a LOT of travel books and guides. This is most definitely one of the better ones I've read. It doesn't just have the most popular tourist traps and a sentence long description. For businesses and such, it has hours, admission costs, thorough descriptions, estimated time to spend at each location, etc. VERY comprehensive, I was so impressed! It also had a lot of helpful and well written tips on the best scenic byways and exactly what you're going to see when you take different routes. While this guide doesn't have too many photos, it explains everything so clearly that more photos aren't necessarily needed. I recommend this guide immensely!

Summary: "very helpful guide book"
I really liked this book. There were many things that were new to me even though I have lived I this state all my life. The parts of the state I was most familar with were described in details and insights were helpful.
